A student-night app that sells out

Youni · Student events · 2024

The brief

Youni's founders were running student nights out of a spreadsheet and a promoter's phone. Tickets, guestlists, promoter payouts, in-venue entry — all in the same week, at festival scale. They needed a real product, fast.

What we did

An embedded squad of six: two backend, one mobile lead, one React Native engineer, a product designer and a delivery lead. Re-shaped the ticketing engine around a queue-safe inventory model, shipped native iOS and Android apps for students and promoters, and built a door-scanner flow that still works on dodgy venue wifi.

Outcome

Ticket sales that used to choke on launch spikes now clear in seconds. Promoters got a dashboard they actually open. Operating cities went from three to eleven in a year.

Auto-shop software, from greasy to great

Torque360 · Auto-repair SaaS · 2023

The brief

Torque360 wanted one platform for auto-repair shops: estimates, digital vehicle inspections, invoicing, parts ordering, marketing. Legacy tools in the space were built for desktop PCs in offices, not the owner walking the bay in greasy gloves.

What we did

An end-to-end build over twenty-two weeks. Modular web app plus a tech-facing mobile companion. Integrated parts catalogs, Stripe and QuickBooks; built a DVI tool that lets technicians attach photos and voice notes to a line item in seconds; shipped an appointment scheduler that survives a Monday morning.

Outcome

Shops cut estimate-to-approved from hours to minutes. Average repair-order value rose, because technicians could show the problem instead of describe it.

A POS that survives a Saturday

RepairDesk · Repair-shop POS · 2024

The brief

RepairDesk's point-of-sale and ticketing platform was serving thousands of phone, computer, watch and drone repair shops across forty countries. The product worked — but the team needed senior hands to ship faster on inventory, multi-store reporting and the new customer-facing tracker.

What we did

Three of our engineers embedded alongside their team for over a year, owning the inventory and multi-store modules. We untangled a decade of cross-shop stock transfers, built a customer-facing ticket-tracker that replaces the "is my iPhone ready?" call, and paid down two years of flaky webhooks.

Outcome

Cross-store stock is now accurate in near-real-time. The tracker has cut ticket-status calls to a trickle. Multi-store reports load in under a second where they used to time out.

Technical interviews that actually predict

Codility · Dev assessments · 2025

The brief

Codility helps enterprise engineering teams hire developers with technical assessments and live coding interviews. They wanted the next generation of the interview surface: less friction for candidates, better signal for hiring managers, and LLM features that help — not cheat.

What we did

A squad of five worked alongside their product team for nine months. We rebuilt the live-coding UI around a lower-latency editor, added a candidate-friendly warm-up flow, and shipped an evaluation pipeline with cheat-detection signals and reviewer hints — with proper evals, cost caps and a fallback for every AI call.

Outcome

Candidate completion went up, reviewer time per interview went down, and the new AI-assisted review passed the customer trust bar from day one.

§ — What's not here

The unwritten half.

Most of our engagements are under NDA, and the more interesting ones tend to be. We can't show you the case study, but we can talk about it under cover — references, code samples, architecture decisions, what went wrong.

If you're evaluating us against another shop, ask us for a reference in your industry. We probably have one we can share warm.
